Kathmandu, July 17: A 10-room building handed over to quake-damaged Jalupadevi Secondary School at Tokha, Kathmandu has brought cheer to both students and teachers since the teaching and learning activities were affected by the damages occurred due to the April 25 ‘Gorkha Earthquake’.
The building was provided by the Radha Swami Satsang, a religious group coming from India, amid a programe today.
Some 40 volunteers of the group had constructed the building on their own in a month, according to Phanindra Khattri, the Principal of the School.
Principal Khattri added that as many as 300 students were benefited by the compassionate gesture of the Radha Swami Satsang.
Amid a programme, Chairperson of the Satsang’s Nepal branch, Siddha Bahadur Baniya, handed over the keys of the building to the Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Subaju Baniya.
The Satsang has built 15 school buildings and 10 community buildings in the worst hit districts in Nepal, Chairperson Baniya shared. RSS
