ECHO will be funding ICCO Cooperation, as one of the members under the ACT Alliance Nepal Forum, for implementing the “Early Recovery Support to Earthquake Affected Communities in Nepal” project. ICCO will focus on “Shelter” and “WASH” based interventions for nine months in Makwanpur district.
Through our local partner, CCDN, we will build the capacities and arrange essential tools and materials for approximately 750 families whose houses were severely damaged and enable them to build back better and safer houses. Furthermore, we will repair or install 625 toilets and repair 10 drinking water schemes complemented with health and hygiene campaigns. In total, 6097 households will directly benefit in 2 VDCs and 1 municipality of the district.
