HUMANITARIAN NEEDS
Humanitarian WASH needs are most evident for people in displacement sites. As of mid-July, some 11,100 households remain in evacuation sites. District level officials have requested continued WASH support for the sites. While data on emergency sanitation in displacement sites indicate that services have been provided to some 30,000 out of 57,000 people, overall population movement remains fluid. Further, a number of remote and high priority Village Development Committees have received limited or no attention. In West Kathmandu, cases of cholera have been reported. While the number of cases have been manageable, there is a need to ensure preventive action against a major outbreak.
