Nepal: UNICEF Nepal Child Protection - Four Months After the Earthquake

UNICEF is partnering with the Central and District Child Welfare Boards and 13 NGOs who have deployed 170 social workers covering all 14 affected districts to prevent family separation. 7,411 children identified as vulnerable in the 14 most affected districts. Out of these children, 318 have so far been provided with emergency support. Assessment of the identified children is ongoing for referral to short and long term support. Central Child Welfare Board with support from UNICEF, has assessed 121 registered Child Care Homes hosting 3,309 children.
