This report is the result of 2100 surveys completed in randomly selected households throughout the 14 priority affected districts, between April 16 and 28, 2017. The data collection for this report was completed in April so as not to overlap with the local election process.
As there was only a one month gap between perception surveys, the changes between this round and the last are minute, in most cases. However, the issues around communities' access to water continues to grow at a rapid rate. This month, 44 percent of respondents named water supply as their number one reconstruction priority in their community, besides household reconstruction.
Concerns also remain with respect to differences in the way the reconstruction process is unfolding for vulnerable groups, including women, disadvantaged ethnic groups, the elderly and linguistic minorities. Significant differences in the access to information and the understanding of critical information is apparent among these disadvantaged groups.
