• India - Monsoon, Floods: Heavy rain and thunderstorms have been affecting areas of Assam, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand states in the past days. 453 villages have been flooded and over 800 000 people are affected by floods in the state of Assam, up to 1 500 people have been displaced in the Morbi municipality (Gujarat State) and several landslides have been triggered by the rain in Himachal Pradesh state. Over the next 24h heavy rain is expected to continue to affect the northeastern states of India. Sources: ASDM, IMD, Media

• Pakistan - Flash Flood: Heavy rain has been affecting Balochistan province (Pakistan), causing flash floods. At least 11 people have been killed in the Lasbela district (Balochistan) and 3 have gone missing. Up to 20 houses have been damaged by the flash floods. Over the next 24 h, thunderstorms could locally affect parts of Balochistan province.

• Nepal – Landslides: Heavy rain in Nepal over the past few days has led to several landslides. At least 7 people have been killed. Over the next 24h, light to moderate rain are forecast for the central and western regions. Sources: MFD, Media

• Indonesia - Volcanic Eruption: Sileri, a volcano in central Java Island (Indonesia), erupted on 2 July around 5.00 UTC. At least 10 people were injured and hundreds have been displaced. An aid helicopter crashed near Dieng Plateau (Central Java) while heading to help evacuate residents, killing 8 people on board. Sources: BNPB, Media

• Japan - Tropical Cyclone: NANMADOL is forecast to reach Kyushu island (Japan) late on 3 July, as a Tropical Storm. Strong winds, heavy rainfall and storm surge could affect Kyushu, Shikoku, southern and central Honshu on 3-5 July.
