Heavy snowfall has been witnessed in Manang and Mustang districts. Farms, hills and cliffs in both districts are now covered with snow. Snow as high as four feet has reportedly accumulated there.
Furthermore, cold wave blowing since the past week has adversely affected normal life in these two Trans-Himalayan districts. People have been forced to stay indoor following the cold wave, it is learnt.
Chief at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Surya Acharya, said that temperature of Mustang district has dipped to minus 1.5 degree Celsius this morning.
Similarly, flights to and from Jomsom have been disrupted for the past one week.
