A teenager died after the epidemic of diarrhoea and vomiting and cholera resurfaced in Gaidatar of Chandrapur municipality-2.
The deceased has been identified as Maisingh Maya Syangtan of Gaidatar, according to the District Public Health Office.
The epidemic had first spread in April 30. It had been brought under control following a 12-day health camp by the Office in the same locality.
However, the number of people suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting is on the rise again.
As of Monday afternoon, 531 people suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting underwent medical examination and received treatment, according to the Office.
Meanwhile, Head of the Central Regional Health Directorate Dr Ananda Prasad Shrestha inspected the affected area today and expressed the commitment to ensure sufficient supply of health workers and medicines in the area.
