Nepal Bank Ltd has provided Rs 500,000 to the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund on Friday.
A team headed by Bank Chairman Prof Dr Devraj Adhikari handed over a cheque for the amount to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his official residence.
Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Maheshwor Lal Shrestha said they handed over the relief amount after the Bank's board committee meeting took a decision in this regard.
Prime Minister Koirala said that all sectors have provided support to the flood and landslide affected people.
He also assured, again, that there will be no misuse of the funds.
Shrestha said that they expressed commitment to provide additional fund after offering one-day salary of the Bank staffs.
The Bank provided the fund as a part of fulfillment of its social responsibility. RSS
