Nepal: Around 2,000 houses sub-merged in Saptari

Heavy rainfall and swollen rivers have sub-merged around 2,000 houses of Saptari district in east Nepal.

Mahuli river has caused most of the damages as it broke embankment and entered into the settlements, said reports from the district.

The most affected VDCs include Barmajiya, Maina Kaderi, Badgama, Bairwa, Goganpur and Rupnagar, among others. nepalnews.com
