A new project aims to raise living standards and food safety in Nepal.
An agreement has been made to raise living standards and food safety in Nepal.
The deal will secure a total of 2.2 million euros (14.9 million DKK) throughout the next five years and was signed by the DanishChurchAid and Nepal’s Social Welfare Council (SWC) in July.
Improving of sustainable food security
The specific objective of the project includes improving resilient livelihoods and sustainable food security of the vulnerable areas in far, mid-western part of the country and the eastern lowland plains of the Terai Region.
The project is set to run until 2017 and DanishChurchAid will be providing aid in 110 Village Development Committees, which are in some ways similar to municipalities, and cover 12 districts in the country.
